Seeing Sapo's mud bug pie made me want something like that, but since mud bugs are hard to come by up here, I started searching for a shrimp pie recipe, this one caught my eye for sure...with my alterations...


Mise en place
1 pound medium 12-30 ct shrimp
1 pound frozen spinach (thawed, drained)
1 T sesame oil
1/2 C onion
2 T chopped gahlic
1 T whatthishere sauce
1 t oregano
1/4 cup white wine
1 T maple syrup (or honey)
8 oz cream cheese
Half stick butter
2 8" pizza dough (Boboli)
12 oz Mozzarella / Provolone mix
Slap yo Mama seasoning


Sautee onion, garlic in sesame oil, add shrimp, oregano, cajun seasoning, and deglaze with wine. Let cool (reserve 1/2 of liquid)


Combine cream cheese, maple syrup, butter and wooster sauce (add resevered cooking liquid if needed.


Add shrimp, spinach, and place onto two pizza dough


Add cheese


Place on super hot Pizza Stone and broil until cheese is melted and golden.


Cut each pie into quarters and serve with cocktail sauce on the side.

Man, was it ever good ! Gunna be making that one again for sure!
