A friend of ours came into town..cooked my first pork loin.....Wife "hinted" that not all pork needs to be smoked...I dont get it but whatever....

Cut the loin in half...1 half got browned in a cast iron skillet, garlic inserted..deglazed the cast iron pan with wine and poured it over the loin and baked at 350. The second half was rubbed with Ddogs maple rub and also baked. Both were pulled at 145. The loin with the rub was the more popular. Made Risotto with baby paortabellos, scallions, green pepper and chicken broth. Salad and stir fry type veggies on the side and homemade bread....

They looked real good John! I did a real small pork loin last week in the oven. I rubbed it down with a little Herbes de Provonce. It was outragious! Thanks for the pics.
