Has anyone else used Chicken/Beef Broth as a base for a mop? I've started to do so and have been really pleased with the results. My thinking was that the Broth was basically just fat drippings and water so it was like basting the meat in it's own drippings. Am I on to something here or am I just a Damn Yankee that should stick to Grilling? :loony: I would like to hear your thoughts on the subject and if you do try it let me know how it works out [/img]

You could just cut some of the salt in your rub if your worried about that. I've used beef broth when I wrap my brisket in foil and was happy with the results.
