no time it won't work, it will split. I don't use a stone when making pizzas or calzones, just cook them indirect.

I will say that I don't own iether one of these stones but, the reviews I here are pretty good. Another option is to go to Big Lot's and get one for ten bucks. My finding is if you don't put any stone into a hot grill or oven, it will last. The heat shock(especially if it has any moisture in it will cause it to break.
Let it heat up slowly from the time you light the grill to the desired cooking temp. When finished, I just leave it in or on the grill and let it cool down slowly.
