Hello to all BBQ lovers from Hawk Wild BBQ in Marion, Iowa
 

I am Tom Fuhrmeister from Marion, Iowa. Owner/pitmaster of Hawk Wild BBQ Co. My family and friends had for years enjoyed my BBQ. Everyone always said I should open my own resturant and let everyone enjoy it as much as they did. We decided it was time to make that somewhat happen by building my dream smoker. The smoker is custom made. The diameter of the chamber is about 4 feet and we built it as a reverse flow system. The firebox itself is 26 in wide and 57 inches long. We placed 2 slide out racks in it and created 3 seperate zones which when running at about 600 in the fire box run a consistent 235,,255 and 275 at the same time. It is a smokers dream. We are avid hawkeye fans so that is what we themed it as and it is quite a site to see going down the road. I look forward to sharing alot of stories and ideas as I am new here..I just happend across the site looking for just this type of forum.
