This is what happens when you down one of these, and you are bored.

I figure a couple of charcoals and a hunk of wood closed up with header tape and a little fiddling with the top vent and I'll have cold/warm smoke for cheese or salt.

The charcoal pan is an empty pellet tin sitting on top of a couple of welding rods to keep it off the bottom. I haven't tried it yet. I have to let the 700F silicone dry. The good part is I got to drink the beer first!

I'll leave a small gap in the bottom for air. Hic

It's working just fine. Put some salt on for the test. So far I'm at one full hour and it looks like I won't have to add a chunk of wood for maybe two more.

Wow that should work nearly as good as a card board box a one eyed hotplate and a pie pan. Smart thinning there Senor. You got way too much free time on your hands. Come up to Foat Wuth and I will put you to work on some weighty issues:)

I had to think 'outside the box' BW. The wife used up all of them for Christmas presents.............

I like it when a plan comes together.

Now you guys have got me looking for a Canadian supplier of Bubba Kegs. Even the Bubba Keg seems to glisten a smile. In steps the Bubba Keg. One guy at work has been using his daily. I got me uh bubba keg. It's like an oven with smoke. And speaking of smoke.

Too cool! I'd be downing another one of those beers while waiting for the cheese or salt to be ready! It's always good to have a spare in case you burn one out!
