Well since yall are busy being lazy playing compooter I figgered it time for somebody to set a good example and cook something for motivational purposes. The Little Bride snagged an 11 pound butt during Krogers recent meat sale. Cut it half in two and gave it a mustard slather and a rub last night and left it bagged up in the ice box all night. Got up this morning and gave it a little mo rub and mist of apple cider then packed it solid with a copious amount of fresh ground black pepper (1/3 pound or so) waited 10 mins and gave it another mist and packed it up with all the brown sugar it would hold and waited another 10 to let it crust up a bit. It is currently chuckling away with a combo on Pee Can and Apple Wood on the electrified Brinkmann. It smelling purty good as we speak. Plannng on wrapping one half at about 175 and cooking the other half nekked till both hunks get somewhere around 200. Supposed to have a houseful of chillins and grand chillins later in the day for pushed pork sandwiches.

He has moving talky pictures of his driving around in his cruiser, but no food porn. Such a shame.

BW, if you're gunna have the kids around ... have them take pics and upload them. They know that type of stuff.

Sounds like a good day.

Well it was quite an ordeal. The boneless half which had got wrapped hit just perfect 200 and felt like jelly on the poke test in about 6hrs. The bone in half nekked model like to never got done. Had a malfunction with an extension cord and lost about two hours afore I got that snafu figgered out. Anyway it was getting close to time to eat so I wrapped it too. Never broke much past 180 but it was tender enough and real tasty. It came out very good. Ohh I also survived a grease fire on the deal.

Glad to hear it went good. I had a problem with internal temps this weekend too.

Thanks Buck. From reconstructing the scene of the crime I think the grease fire burned all the fat out of it and when thangs got calmed down and went back to cooking....that hunk o pork just proceeded to dry itself out when the heat was reapplied. Thats my theory anyway and will stick to it until proven wrong:)
