Now that looks mighty laurapin there Boy!! Up in the Wilbarger County Jail they had a little gal who cooked sometimes on the weekend. When she made this particular dish in question she just dip the patties into Pet Milk and flop it around in the flour for a bit..then into proverbial cast iron skillet with some good old Crisco from the can. Yum yum. Guess that is the po folks method or whutever. Surely not as good as yours:)

That looks great JB. My mother used to make a gravy with the burger drippings and then put the chicken fried burgers back in the gravy before serving. MMMMMMMM good. I guess it has been 20 or more years since I had that. Thanks for bringing back some good thoughts.

Well that gravy deal sounds like a good plan. Guess it must be some local customs involved here because I not only neva seen a breaded hamburger patty till I was a full growed man...I neva even woulda thunk of doing it. In fact not sure I have eat one up until right now..cuz I didnt get one at the jail. I just watched her whilst she cooked em. She also made good gravy. She start stirring that stuff and the back part of them tight wranglers get to jumping around where it looked like two bobcats fighting in a tow sack.
