Still trying to eat healthy and get my cholesterol down and I've been craving a hamburger. So, I picked up a pack of Bison meat which I've past many times in the store but never purchased. Made 3 patties out of 1lb of meat so the burgers were good size. Seasoned with s&p and grilled to 150º. Topped the burger with roasted red pepper, lettuce, tomato, grilled red onion and pickles. I was very very pleasantly surprised at how moist and flavorful the meat was. I was expecting it to be bland and on the dry side, but absolutely not! For something as healthy as this is, it's very good, worth trying and I'll be getting more for sure.
My wife on the other hand wouldn't try it, so she got 2 small chuck eyes that I seasoned with S&P. Added to the grill was baked potatoes, carrots, red bell pepper, red onion and corn which was the worst we've bought this year, NO flavor
I also needed to throw this picture in to show that parents do influence their children......we had baked cod, zuchini and rice the other night for dinner. Most of which my 7 year old daughter prepared by herself (with guidance of course). So we sit down to eat and she jumps up and gets the camera and said "I need to take a picture of this daddy"!
