Cooking 2 racks of spares using KF and the whiskey barrel wood chunks Gary sent me. Also cooking a head of smoked cabbage with WRC and some beans with the rib tip trimmings and blackeyed peas mixed in.
I'm also giving Gary's rib rub a go. Tasted it out of the bag and I like what I'm tasting. Real sweet with an afterburn of heat that isn't to overpowering. The smell from the wood chunks is kind of a sweet smell. Looking forward to the taste.
Bones are foiled, cabbage is on and Red Wings are down 1 against Chicago. 8)

Looks like your off to a good start Puffy! But, with the title of this thread, you shouldn't drag Scotty's a$$ down with yours!

Great game Detroit 6, Chicago 4!

Gary a big 2 thumbs up to your rib rub!!! Great flavor that didn't go away while cooking like some rubs do. I didn't get the flavor from the whiskey wood chunks.
They smelled good while cooking but didn't come through on finished product.
Scotty thanks for the great "idea"( ) smoking the cabbage.
The WRC rocked! :supz:
Happy New Year everyone!!! :D

Glad you liked the Rib rub. I have found that the whiskey is more subtle than you'd think. Looks like some mighty fine ribs there. What sauce did you use?
Blues Hog original. Great rub Gary! ;)
