if your smoker temps are steady, be patient...it's not unheard of for
meat to drop a few degrees because of rendering fat.
There's no time limit....it's done when it's done.
 
Hang in, but watch it close, a butt that small will climb fast. My theory is (on all butts) that it takes time to get hot air to to get radiant to the bone, after that, the bone radiates heat (not hot air) into the butt.
