Well, the weather finally broke here and the wife wont say "Bill, its 90* outside and your cooking chili?" last night so I cooked chili.

Started with 1lb ground beef, 1 green pepper, 1 red pepper, 1 med sweet onion, and 3 cloves of garlic in the pan.

I added 2 cans of maters, 1 can of kidney beans, 1 can of pinto chili beans, 1 table spoon of consintrated beef broth.

2 Tbl of chili powder, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp cayane, 1 tsp cumin, 1 Tbs salt, 1 tsp black pepper

Then simmered for 4 hours. Served with chedder cheese, diced onion, and corn bread.

Guess whats for lunch today?

Actually...if a person traded kidney beans for leftover pintos I was raised on a similar concoction..cept we didnt call it chili. Think it was known as goulash. I still love the stuff. Goes well with fried tates and corn bread. Chili come from a can with the name Wolf Brand wrote on the side.
