I spent the day cooking in my old "water"/ bullet" style smoker. I have been cooking in my "big boy" pit with logs for so long, I forgot what it is like to battle charcoal and twigs all day. I was teaching my daughter and her boyfriend how to cook butts so they could make their own at school (at THE OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY) I ended up finishing them in the oven and giving them the smoker! I'll take the ease of the log burner any day! WM

ps. food was excellent dressed with some NC style "thin" sauce!!

your first mistake is supporting the Ohio State.
Secondly, wsm's are far, far easier to use than
ecbs and sidebox smokers.

Woodman, you could have borrowed one of my WSM's...of course you had trouble with that POS cooker...its the one you said you hated when you started bbq'ing...DOPE! :D

Unbelievable but well said! I just threw another 56 pounds of pork shoulders on my WSM and I won't have to look at it again until tomorrow morning!
