Has anyone done whole hogs in a Lang or another off set? We have a gig to do later this month and wanted to do a racer style hog (150lb) in the Lang. I do have a whole hog cooker (oil drum style) cooker that we could use but wanted to use the Lang. Any help would be great.

BTW a 150 pounder will struggle to get into a lang 84, specially if you want racing style...if you are dead set on racing style, you might want to go with a smaller one, and add some butts in there

The largest pig I cooked to date was a 127# dressed. I had to stick his nose in first and swing the ass end in. Much larger, and the head may have to come off. Racing style needs to be specified before butchering. Otherwise you will get one hanging by the back legs and stiff as a board. Ask also for a wood block in the mouth to accommodate an apple later.
