Smoking in the rain
I put a couple of butts on the WSM last night, to celebrate WSM Smoke Day. Everything was going well until it started raining at 4:30 in the morning.
Rubbed and wrapped
"Oh $h!t it's raining", or 4:30 am makeshift rain shield
It looks okay...
Results
And a quick sample for the cook...

No, I didn't have any in the house (nor the makings thereof). The butts got done much earlier than I expected (on at 9:00 p.m., off at 8:00 a.m.) I'll be making a run to the store in a little while, and slaw is on my list.

I've always thought someone who invented a little clip on umbrella
for the top of the wsm would make a killing.
But don't listen to me...I don't invent anything.

Looks good to me Larry.
Cap I think we can credit Larry with the invention of the WSM rain shield.

At 4:30 am, barefoot, in the rain, I wasn't really concentrating on earning any "style points".
By the way, I was not bribed for those "product placements". I actually did use them. (But a bribe after the fact would certainly be accepted, and appreciated.)
