I've been on a low carb diet for 8 months. I tried Splenda once on Q .... ONCE
If you have a medical condition, then that's one thing, but for just a low carb diet, I said there is one thing that I will NOT do low carb.... my Q. It's just not that same and if you use it in your Q, please don't serve it to people that actually know what white/ brown sugar, & Molasses taste like ... I never have. I could just imagine the looks l would get.
Don't get me wrong, I still use Splenda on plenty of stuff. I've dropped 35 pounds on low carb, but I have stuck to the normal recipes when it comes to Q. Again, if it's not a medical issue, then the amount of relative sugar to serving size is actaully realy small. I don't have the carb count, nor am I interested in it. It's not like us low carbers have Q every day .... Ok well ... #-o

P.S. Sugar Twin makes a Brown Sugar sub...flavored with Splenda...have I tried it? No. Will I? No. I thought I heard something of Splenda making a Brown Sugar sub as well, but I haven't seen it yet.
