Anyone ever marinade their ribs in sodi pop. Got three slabs of spares taking a bath in some Dr. Pepper, we'll see how that goes tomorrow. Jusat curious if anyone has ever done it or had ribs that were. Thanks.

Don't know, i read about this on another forum and the guy used root beer, but I'm not a big root beer fan, he said that the ribs had a slight sweet taste to them and they were very tender and that his family and another couple loved them...who knows, it's an experiment, just thought Id' try it for a change of pace.

I have a friend that bakes pork chops in Dr. Pepper and they come out pretty tasty -- well, at least for oven baked chops.

I've done them in Dr Pepper and in Cherry Coke at different times, I only left them sitting for 3 - 4 hours in the fridge, I liked the Cherry coke ones best, but the rest of the family thought the Dr Pepper were the way to go.

I'd rather let the kids drink the soda while I drink a brew, than put it on the ribs most of the time! ;)
