i put my shoulder on the smoker @8;15 this a.m. its hovering at 200 degrees, i got all the vents wide open...am i doing the right thing?,,any advise?...help..

its 43 degrees outside, i have pretty much a full load of coals did the minion method, all vents open,,,maybe i need more coals..i dont know, i just want to get this shoulder done before midnight..lol

You can take off the access door on the front for 5min or so and let the coals spike up a bit...see if that works.

Yeppers forty three is a heatwave to yankees. I predict he is also fighting a coolish N. wind. That will kick the calientes out of the bullets muy pronto. I tell all these folks to put an upside down barrel on top of it but do anybody listen to me? No. Bunch of hard heads on here.
