Hello! Great forums.
I first learned about this collection of forums from a UNC football fan. I’ve been a fan of the Tar Heels for more than forty years and I’m also a fanatic Carolina Panthers fan. I’ve been experimenting with cooking authentic North Carolina BBQ and great ribs for a few years now. The process of learning about the culture associated with BBQ in my area of the country and experimenting with different recipes and methods of slow grilling pork has been very enjoyable. I think I’ve finally been able to produce some pretty good BBQ, at least some of my “guinea pigsâ€

Welcome my friend. Tar Heel born and bred here, and when I die, I'm a Tar Heel dead! (here).
I'm bbqnut on the Inside Carolina board, and I'm one of the two handles on the Panthers board.
Where in NC are you? Are you east or west? Joined the NCBS yet?
What you cooking on?
Good to see yet another member from the Cradle of Q.

Thanks for the welcome, I was actually referring to your link on IC. I'm MyHeels on IC. Using BBQ geography, I'm west, a few miles north of Charlotte. No, I have not joined NCBS yet. I use charcoal and hickory chiunks on a Char-Griller. I prefer Lexington style sauce for my Boston butts and a sweet and sour sauce for ribs.
That's my Sports and BBQ profile I guess!

I can understand how it left a bad taste in the mouths of UK fans when he left but it hurt me just as much when he rejected NC a couple of years earlier. Roy is where he belongs now. It appears that his recruiting is through the roof right now! We'll see how he fares with this class over the next couple of years. I'm confident that he'll be raising at least a couple of more NC banners before he retires from UNC. =D>

This Tarheels love fest has got to stop...
:tired: Hell, next you'll be trying to figure out how to get a blue smoke ring.
Welcome anyway.

Yep. (But I still hope the 'Heels win the college baseball world series, so you can see I have mellowed considerably with age.)
