Hello from sunny SoCal

HI everyone. I have been a griller for over 15 years and until recently it was all on one of those round Weber $50 charcoal numbers. Upon moving into our new home my in laws gave us a new Cal Flame G3 gas barbecue and now I think I need to step up my game. I am certain I will be a lurker as I soak up all the knowledge. Thanks!

Hey welcome on over here. I keep aiming to get a new gasser myself..just aint got around to it yet. Let us know how you like the model you got and we might just get one..if it aint too pricey. Take good care of that wifey. Sounds like she has nice kinfolks.

Welcome. Good to see ya.

You want a Smoker or a Grill?? Weber makes good ones of both.

Me, personally, I'd look at one that's heated by wood or charcoal or both. I think gas and electricity should be used on criminals, not on your food unless you're cooking inside your house.

I have to agree with Bob. The only thing I use my gas grill for is cleaning my cooking grates from my smokers, and my charcoal grills. Charcoal tends to give your food a better taste. If you still have your Weber stick with it.
