Hello from north shore of Washington
Yes there is a north shore on washington, moved here 4 yrs. ago from hell (las vegas). Moved to Sequim, Wa. and left my smoker in vegas. But that will change next month when I go back for a visit; my brother keep it for me. Its a new braunfels water smoker 1400,( like a ecb on steroids). Once I get it home and do a few mods . BBQ and rum, "let the good times roll". Doc

Re: Hello from north shore of Washington
Hey Doc welcome. Good luck on that NB water smoker. If that is the same flat top front opening barrel shaped model I owned for several years it would be fitting to let it remain in hell where it belongs. That pit was a nightmare. Did finally get a little use from it when it became the dedicated fish/possum and other stinky critter cooker. That way a person dont stink up the good pit if Mama wants dead fish or smoked Coon with Collard Greens etc.

Welcome Doc, looking forward to your posts. Like to see some pictures of the smoker, I've heard of a New Braunfel but don't think I've seen one.

Re: Hello from north shore of Washington
Thanks for the welcomes, Shores, Tri Tip, Timbear,Big Wheel,Bbquzz, BluzOne and Nick. Nick, I live west and a little north of Seattle, about 70ish miles away, in Sequim. Bigwheel, yes its that flat topped one. My plan is to remove the fire pan, seal the bottom with 14 or 12 gage steel add some vents at the bottom (uds style) cut the door in two about where the waterpan is, repace the waterpan with a ceramic potry plate, and a fire basket. I have almost all of the parts for doing these mods. Doc

Welcome to the forum Doc. I was born and raised in Washington, beautiful country but I just couldn't handle the rain. Great folks here and I look forward to seeing your posts.

Re: Hello from north shore of Washington
Welcome doc. Sequim is a nice little town. Funny how most of the rain seems to miss Sequim.

Welcome to the forum! Don't let bigwheel get to you Doc. He's one of the forums greatest unnatural resources. It's comments from bigwheel that make reading postings on this forum so much fun!!!

Welcome to the forum Doctiki. Left my smoker in vegas sounds like a country song.
