I've always loved BBQ, but started to get into it more about 3 yrs ago when I bought a Big Green Egg. Just starting to get decent results and still learning every cook. Love making my own rubs, sauces, and experimenting with cooking techniques. Come from a family of foodies.
Just starting to research what smoker to get next. Would like to try competing in a few contests next summer. Contenders include Backwoods, Stumps, and Cookshack FEC100 (although this might be too big for me now)
Going to my first cooking school this weekend: Myron Mixon's in Georgia. Look forward to learning lots more there and through all the great people in the forum.
