Checking in from Charlotte, NC
Hello everyone! Figured I'd check in and do a brief intro.
I'm originally from Mississippi, but I have lived in Charlotte, NC for the last 4 years. I work as a web developer / software engineer. Throughout my childhood, my father always cooked on a charcoal grill, thus instilling in me the love of the flame. For my grilling needs, I have a homemade charcoal grill that my father made for me as a college graduation present eight years ago and a Char-Broil gas grill. When it's time to go low and slow, I used to have only an el cheapo Brinkman. But about 2 months ago, I acquired an unmodified Bandera smoker that I absolutely love so far.
So... yeah... that's me in a nutshell.

Hey Brown welcome. Sounds like an interesting mix of cultures you got yourself involved with. Had a chum or two with NB Banderas who always claim to just love it. Now the original design for my pit Fred was supposed to be a sorta king sized version of two Banderas stuck together and joined at the firebox which would see double duty as a grill as per the Bandera. Had 3/8 flat plate to work with. Anyway the dumb drunk welder didnt built it the way I told him. It would come out a big square offset.
