We have purchased a White Mountain Ice Cream Freezer (hand crank) off E-bay and I need a good vanilla ice cream recipe. Without eggs.
Anyone got one.
Thanx.

Without eggs? Have you checked out some sorbet recipes? True Ice Cream is actually a custard, which requires eggs.

However .... Try this twist:

8 oz. mascarpone cheese
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup superfine sugar
1 vanilla bean pod

Directions:

Put milk in small pan, and add split vanilla bean (scape seeds out and add to milk, and throw in the pod). Bring milk to scald. Let cool.

Put all ingredients (sans pod) into a bowl, and beat with a mixer until smooth and thick.

Freeze according to directions on your ice cream machine. Should serve 4-6

Well vanilla ice cream is easy. All the cream a person can afford to buy..enough sugar to make it sweet and some vanilla. Get to cranking. Simple huh?
