We know the new look and feel of the site is "different" and that adding ads to support the costs to run the site might turn some people off. In order to say thank you to the members who contribute to our community we have created an enhanced account level for all members who have contributed 50 posts. The new account level is called "Contributing Member" and use accounts will be automatically upgraded once you reach 50 posts.
Some perks the contributing members get are:
- Ability to Turn off the Banner Advertisements
- 10x more Private Message Space (5,000 total)
- Unlimited Upload Space
- The warm fuzzy feeling you get for helping support the best BBQ forum on the internet!
Although we would appreciate it if you wanted to leave the banner ads running (since they help offset the cost to run the community) you can turn off the banner ads by going to the UserCP >> Options page >> Thread Display Options you will see an option to disable them there. Please note the sponsor ads in the right cannot be turned off.
As time passes we will look for other ways to bring more value to our Contributing Members to say thanks for making BBQ Central such a great community.
