Weber Silver vs Gold

How big of true difference for the 70.00 dollars? I do like the foldable grate, But only 18.00 bucks Thanks for all the help, sorry for all the dumb questions Dave
 
I'm no expert, but they will both cook the same. As you noted the grate is one addition and then the ash catcher clean out is the other and a nice feature. If you are on a very tight budget the Silver would do the same job, the Gold is just a little easier to use and clean up.
 
I asked myself this question when deciding which one to get. How much is my Wife going to complain about ash being all over the deck? I got the Gold and so glad I did.
 
I have a silver and love it, but if I had it to do again in all honesty I'd buy a performer.

I agree, but mine is used in the shed and never see's the sun or wind.
