Last night I grilled up a few Tri-tips for dinner. Both were grilled over Kford comp and mesquite and for a little smoke flavor, I tossed in some maple wood chips TimBear gave me. On one of the Tips I only seasoned with Lowry’s and the other I used some World Grill beef rub I found in the cupboard. Along with the beef I grilled up some yellow squash and my wife made a nice green salad and of course plenty of cold ones while I was grillin.

Looks tasty!! With all the recent tri tips I'm gonna have too finally try it.

If you do that every Friday night, I think I'll be in Thousand Oaks only on Fridays.

I'd sure like to taste that !

It's great that you know how to properly cut a steak and bonus credits for admitting that it was sliced wrong and posting pics anyway !

+Creds for you ! ;) :supz: Awesome !

(All you other liars/fakers...you know who you are) it hasn't gone unnoticed.

Cut right or wrong, I'd hammer that plate!

Scotty, why are you calling Puff out? Leave him alone, he's just a simple man....

Did you use Lawry's Seasoned salt or Lawry's Garlic Salt? Both work well with tri-tip. If you get a chance try some "SusieQ's Brand" from Santa Maria.

It is very positive that you sliced 2 different tri-tips---2 different ways. Flavor is flavor but tenderness can be optimized by cutting against the grain. Everything looks great and I bet it was fun to eat.
