Picked up a piece of Prime Tri Tip for $6.99/lb. Let it sit at room temperature for an hour then rubbed it with olive oil and a mixture of kosher salt, garlic salt, and ground black pepper. After grilling I covered with foil and let it rest for about five minutes. The potatoes were sliced and foiled with onions & butter then baked in a 400º oven for one hour. Threw together one of my whatever is in the refrigerator salads and we were good to go.

That looks amazingly good. Your my inspiration John, I'm gonna cook up a small Tri-tip tonight. I'm also gonna try a new marinade my wife found, I usually like to just salt and pepper em. We will see how it turns out.
