I scraped it with a flat edge SS spatchula under hot water, It aint shinny like new but like any griddle thats seasoning. You could use a steel puty knife
Instructions say clean it like a comercial griddle then fire it up.
Hot as I had it sticking wasn't a problem.
Yall notice that dry piece of hicory start smoking soon as I placed it on the griddle?
