We had a gathering with the neighbors and I figured it was the perfect time to give this a try. Glad I did. They were a big hit. :D Most difficult thing about them is the quantity. You have to handle each piece, so it takes a lot of tending too. Good thing I can hold tongs in one hand a beer in the other. :D ;)

Man those look good. Are they meatballs wrapped in bacon or is there something else in there, maybe some Wolfe Rub or something?

Yeah, just meatballs wrapped in bacon, seasoned with Smokin Guns Hot and grilled indirect (with a chunk of apple) until the bacon is done. Some were dunked in bbq sauce and put back on to set. The most popular ones were not suaced.

I want to give these a try soon.....what flavor profile do you guys
like best? sweet? spicy? no sauce, just the let the meat flavors
come through? Anybody ever put a pepper or cheese in the meat balls?

These were more spicy I'd say and I liked that. The ones I dunked in sauce were not as popular, but the sauce was sweet, so that might have had something to do with it. The meat balls I used were store bought. I'd like to do them again and make my own meatball and I think adding either cheese or peppers would be a good idea too. I think I'll omit the sauce next time too. Maybe put the sauce on the side with some ranch or something.

Great looking moink balls. What did you use to wrap the little smokies?

Thanks Vermin999. I used crescent rolls. Cut them in half lengthwise and roll a lil smokie in it. Bake using the time/temp on the rolls package. Pretty simple!

Man good combination! Moink Balls & Pigs in a blanket, havent had those in forever! I think they will be on the menu next time I fire up the grill.

good Job!
