I had relatives in town from Fairbanks and the Aleutian islands over the weekend. Yesterday I did a 14 pound turkey in the BGE. Sorry, no turkey pics. Things were busy, etc. After I pulled the turkey off the egg, I put on some Costco eye of rounds and cooked them to medium rare. Then I sliced them thinly for sandwiches and French dips.

Yesterday, also sliced some Costco eye of round and started marinating it for jerky. I basically used the recipe from Stogie's site. I then smoked it all day today at 160-170* on the WSM.

For dinner tonight, I saw some lamb t-bones at the store and cooked them on the gasser. The first pic is just off the grill and the second is plated with chimmichurri.

I hope everyone and a safe and fun holiday.

Excellent job Griff! How was the jerky?

The jerky was a tad saltier than I wanted -- still edible though. I didn't add any salt, so it had to be too much soy sauce in the marinade.

I'm all backed up now just lookin at all that beef. Everything looks killer Griff! Someday I'm going to try my hand at jerky.
