Several years and many thousands of dollars ago I started with a Smokenator and a OTS. Here is the link to The Smokenator Forum, I've not check it out recently but found it helpful when I first started.

If you haven't seen Smokenator Setup video yet I found it very helpful, old Don Thompson died shorty after making this video.

Thanks for the video bbquzz it helped a lot. I have plans on smoking a brisket this weekend. I feel a lot better now.

Ahh ok gotcha. Us po folks throw a little wood direct on the fire. Pee can shells work good too.
