Had a hankerin for some Tri-Tip so I marinated one in the morning before work, then grilled it on the Chaney along with a white onion with butter and rub wrapped in foil. We also had some edamame and green salad.

Tr-Tip and onion on the grill.

Fine looking meal. One day I'm fonna stumble across a tri tip cook me one.
 
I like! Looks like it was perfectly cooked from where I'm sitting.
I wish I could get in more practice with tri-tips, but they're very scarce 'round here. I've found a "replacement" that's plentiful in Restaurant Depot. It's a Ball Tip roast. Not nearly as good as tri tip, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.
