It’s been really hot here and we didn’t want to cook anything in the oven or on the stove that would heat up the house, so we decided to grill up some salmon and sweet potatoes. I sprinkled a little salt, pepper, and garlic powder on the salmon then I was going to squeeze lemon juice on them but I forgot to pick some off the tree. So, as I was scrounging threw the fridge I saw a bottle of something called Wasabe Sandwich Sauce and figured what the heck. I squeezed some out of the bottle and onto the salmon then brushed it on. Cooked the salmon until done then we ate. I have to say it was quite good but I personally would have liked a little more wasabe taste. I love experimenting. The sweet potatoes were eaten with butter and brown sugar, one of my favorites. Sorry about the pic quality. Also, the last pic is the Station Fire burning near L.A., look closely in the upper right, the smoke cloud almost looks like the face of some god staring down on L.A.

Salmon on the grill, the piece with no sauce is my boy’s

Toby salmon & sweet taters look tasty! Don't know exactly where you're located, but hope your family & property are at a safe distance from this most recent fire.
