Good Deal On Strip Steaks

Krogers had whole USDA choice beef strips on sale last week for $3.99 per pound. It was just too good of a deal to pass up, so we bought a couple of them Ė total weight of 26 pounds. They were from National Beef Packing Co, which Iíd never heard of, so I did a little research. They are owned by U.S. Premium Beef, which in turn, are owned by the cattle ranchers themselves - Iím comfortable with that.

The steaks were very good and I wouldn't hesitate to buy their meat again. For more info and pics check out http://bigdudesramblings.blogspot.com/

Looks wondermous. Can see they is well marbled. We used to get National Beef briskets around here. Always very purty and the fat was white as snow. They also have ribs but have a slightly different twist on the name which I cant recall right now. Great job. A good tender strip is my favorite steak.
