German Dinner

We had some friends over for dinner last night. Decided to try some German dishes. Spiessbraten from Raichlen, German Potato Salad from Food Network and Blaukraut from some blog.

Pork loin butterflied...

...seasoned and stuffed with onions...

...then tied and waiting for the grill.

Potato salad stuff.

Cabbage stuff.

Potato salad and cabage stuff cooking.

The loin was supposed to be cooked on a rotisserie, I don't have one so I just turned it often over indirect heat...

...until it was done.

Sliced. (our kitchen has horrible lighting for pictures)

Plated. (the cook/photographer had too many Becks while cooking and his "artistic eye" isn't too sharp on this shot...)

Great meal.

Re: German Dinner

Don those pictures were fantastic! Maybe it was the Becks or maybe my sour mash!
