First Tri Tip

You hardly ever see them out here, but Wittdog scored a case at the RD a couple weeks ago, and he very kindly passed one on to me.

I took advantage of the amazing weather (66! here today) to give that bad boy its just reward.

Seasoned with Montreal Steak and given a quick char

Cooked indirect at 250 for about 40 min.
Here it is ready for its foil rest

Sliced.

Plated with potatoes (sliced, sprinkled with chicken bouillon, oregano, basil, and a couple pats of butter. Slices were then lined up, wrapped in foil, and cooked indirect),and some frozen beans.

It was AWESOME! Now I understand why you left coast guys rave about it so.

Re: First Tri Tip

By the color I think you got your first one right on the money. Those beans and taters are lookin' mighty fine too.
