catch it, kill it, eat it ...#2

Nice lady...

It was getting late so I filleted her and stuck her in the fridge for the next nights dinner.

Well that was the plan. HUGE Storm came in 70-90 MPH winds, golf ball sized hail, massive trees down and power lines down all over the area. Thousands without power.
Story here

Just as I breaded the fillets, and turned the heat up on the oil....Power went out (for 13 hours). CRAP !

Once the rain stopped, I broke out the kettle, dipped the chunks in the oil and threw them onto the hot grate.

Came out real nice! Bass is sooo tasty!

Smallies up here are more brown and have defined stipes.

This one be a Laaaaaarge. I knew I should have shut the mouth so you could see the lip plate extend past the eye.
About average size. Caught her in a weed bed about 30 feet away from a dock.

Scotty

Those pics started my mouth watering. Really good eats in the face of weather adversity.
