I found a recipe for a chili relleno casserole I wanted to try but my Wife wanted burgers so I decided to make both.

Fire roasted some poblanoes and jalapenos using my weed burner.

Cleaned up the poblanoes and put a layer in an 8X8 dish

Then a layer of hamburger and a couple of the fire roasted jalapenos diced up.

Then a layer of cheese. Recipe said Pepper Jack but I have some mozzarella I need to get rid of so I use that instead.

Then another layer of poblanoes and then a mixture of heavy cream and eggs

Then another layer of everything and topped with more cheese.
Done and on the grill with some bacon

CHILE RELLENO CASSEROLE
2 7-ounce cans whole green chiles, drained well *
8 ounces pepper-jack cheese, shredded
3 eggs
3/4 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 ounces cheddar cheese, shredded

Grease an 8x8" baking pan. Slice each chile along one long side and open flat. Arrange half of the chiles in the bottom of the baking pan, skin side down, in a single layer. Top with the pepper-jack cheese. Arrange the remaining chiles over the cheese, skin side up. Beat the eggs, cream and salt well. Pour evenly over the chiles. Top with the cheddar cheese. Bake at 350º for 35 minutes, until golden brown. Let stand 10 minutes before cutting.

Makes 6-9 servings
Can be frozen

I added ground beef and jalapenoes and also had 3 layers of chilies in my dish
