Built one burger before I grabbed the camera.

Keep hearing that a pan fried burger is better that a grilled burger due to the crust that is formed from frying so I figured I would give it a try.
Fair amount of crust formed

Decided to add some provolone cheese too

Burger enjoyed with some grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, mayo, mustard and BBQ sauce.

One tasty burger. Further testing will be needed to to determine if pan fried burgers are better than grilled burgers.

Yeah, I would think you would have to test that again and again and again...
I'd be glad to assist in the testing program.

Great looking burger Vermin. I've done the pan fried burger on my Performer in the past to get a sear on them while the onions are cooking down. The patties are in the pan with the onions at the same time for just a couple of minutes on each side. Once they are seared, I put them on the indirect side of the grill to finish off.

It's a bit of a hassle and I'm not so sure it makes a big difference. I'm going to have to try it again and pay more attention instead of just gobbling them up.
