Actually it's bachelor's couple of weeks -- Jody's in FL visiting her mom.

On Tuesday, the day she left, I found a semi-forgotten Perdue Oven Roaster chicken in the fridge approaching its expiration date, about 6 1/2 lb, I think, so I popped it in the oven. I got 5 meals plus a side dish out of it. (Not to mention getting a little tired of chicken.)

Today I thawed a ribeye and cranked up the gasser.

BIGWHEEL, AVERT YOUR EYES.

Leftover cajuny chicken stuff as a side dish.

Even the little triangle they cut off of "tomahawk steaks" (for whatever reason) was just right.

The eye was perfect by my preference -- warm center, medium rare. I'll take it a tad closer to rare, but this was just right.

John that rib eye looked big enough for two, where was my invite? :(

AND WHY didn't it have WRB on it??

That is exactly how my wife orders her steak but I can never seem to get it right.

Looks real good but I can't let my wife see it. ;)

Well it sure looks good. Now if the Warden was out of town I would not be cooking cuz there wouldn't be anybody around to clean up the mess...plust I prob be down at the local watering hole. Mostly likely just snag a pickled pigs feet or two and a coupla boiled eggs etc. That should work.
