I only used one small piece of hickory on the ABT and Fatty cook cause I don't like to overpower the bacon with smoke. There is a smoke ring on the fatty, not huge but there is a smoke ring.

BTW everyone, if you haven't made ABT's with turkey bacon before, give it a try. It's pretty good and not as rich as with pork bacon.
