Making a few of these for a party this weekend.

Punchbowl cake

One cooked, cooled 9 x 13 cake (chocolate) torn into chunks
1 #10 can of prepared pudding (vanilla)
1 one lb bag of candy bar pieces (Heath bar)
1 Large tub of cool whip

In a punchbowl (or just a large, clear bowl) layer half of the cake chunks. Spoon half of the pudding over the cake, sprinkle half of the candy bar pieces over the pudding. Layer the remaining cake pieces, then the other half of the pudding, then the candy pieces. Just before serving, top with whipped cream or cool whip.

You can change the pudding and cake flavors to suit your tastes. We like lemon cake with vanilla pudding and blueberries instead of candy, for instance.

I make all the "parts" from scratch (cool whip doesn't cross my threshold) unless I'm making it for someone else, then I use the easier method. This is always a HUGE hit...pretty damn easy, too.
