Bill Nicholson's Krispy Kreme Bread Pudding with Butter Rum Sauce

2 doz. Krispy Kreme donuts
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk -(not evaporated)
2 (4.5 oz.) cans fruit cocktail (undrained)
2 eggs, beaten
1 (9 oz.) box of raisins
1 pinch of salt
1 or 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Cube donuts into a large bowl. Pour other ingredients on top of donuts and
let soak for a few minutes. Mix all ingredients together until donuts have
soaked up the liquid as much as possible.

Bake for about 1 hour until the center has jelled. Top with Butter Rum
Sauce.

Butter Rum Sauce:
1 stick of butter
1 lb. bow of confectioners' sugar
Rum to taste

Melt butter and slowly stir in confectioners' sugar. Add rum and heat until
bubbly. Pour over each serving of bread pudding.

***Note***

Do not pour any liquor into a hot pan over any hot surface directly from the
bottle. Remove pan from heat source and then pour alcohol into the pan from
a measured cup.
 
ROFL!!!! Just when I thought Krispy kreme doughnuts couldn't get any less healthy, along comes this!!!

but its got fruit in it and raisins..its got to be good for you !!!!
 
I've had the recipe and boy is it good.We supstituted peaches instead of the fruit cocktail. Kind of like a Yankee Peach Cobbler.
