Red Hot Mama's BBQ Sauce
This recipe is from the "Marlboro Cook Like A Man Cookbook". We loved it!!
1 1/2 cups honey
1 cup ketchup
1 6 oz can tomato paste
2 cloves garlic, minced (I used 2 tsp. of jarred minced garlic.)
2 tbsp. lemon juice
1 tbsp. cocoa powder
1 tbsp. curry powder
1 tbsp. paprika
1 tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
1 tsp. cayenne pepper
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan.
Bring to a boil over high heat; reduce heat and simmer 20 minutes.
Use with your favorite chicken, ribs, or steak recipe.
Makes about 3 cups.
Keeps for about a month in the refrigerator.
**I deep fried some wings in my WingIt deep fryer and then just dipped them in the sauce. It turned out great! The sauce is very thick!
