You need a big dumb friend to hold the wood. You may need a couple of them, since they will get used up pretty quick. :LOL:
 
Late 70s I had seen a guy using one that his kid made at trade school. It worked slick. But I tend to do the "hold my beer, watch this" thing. :roll: I have split lots of wood with a 16 pound maul and 10 pound sledge. It's good for you. ;)
 
I've seen those before and h eard nightmare stories of a
stubborn piece of wood screwing itself up the unit past the
point it was supposed to just split it...

It got lodged on the unit and started fwapping the side of the
truck and the ground...shook everything violently smacking
away at the ground, knocked the truck off the jackstand and
proceeded to go thumpedy thump thump forwards propelling
the driverless truck into a tree.

NOPE I sure wouldn't use one

But would DEFINATELY want to be hangin' round with a few
beers and a lawn chair to watch someone use one! :twisted:
