It does make good Q wood. It's just most people around here will kill you if you cut one down. Now if it's already down....
 
Oak has a strong flavor, like pecan. Its great for beef.

I remember when I was 5 or 6 (early 60's) It snowed for about a week & the LSU lakes froze over. We over to skate with them other cajuns in tennis shoes :shock:

We did have a few other light dustings since. Like 2 or 3 that I remember
 
Well my Daddy always say when he was a kid down at Graham it get so cold the lake would freeze over and a person could drive a car across it. That prob be back in the 20's or 30's.

I had to work over the weekend (12 hour shifts) didn't have time to upload the rest. Plus about 5 min. after I took them the power went out till Fri. night at 9:00.
