Waterstock IV: Peace, Love, Music, Boats, Babes & BBQ!
This weekend is Labor Day and that means one thing around here and that's the annual Waterstock Festival. Tim my partner in crime owns the most popular summer spot around here and that's Tim's Rivershore Crabhouse on the banks of the Potomac River. [Good pick for a partner huh? lol]
He/they/I build a huge stage just off shore on a barge where we have a PA set up towards the land and another aimed at the boaters. For three days we shuttle bands back and forth and have about 6-8 bands a day for 3 solid days of FREE music and entertainmant. This draws thousands and thousands of boaters to come out and anchor around the stage barge and well get fricking crazy like boaters do.
Again this year I will be the Host and MC all three days and can't wait! This is the most fun part on my year. The bands are all cool and great sounding and the people are awesome. I love having the microphone for three days jacking with people.
If you are close enough to come up I sure recommend it.
Here is Tim's site I built him a couple years back. They manage conten these days.
Here's is the cool flyer
Here I am with my Partner Tim on the mic.
Hey, here's my lovely wife Michele on the right. That is where we hung out on the stage for three days. Front Row Boy!
Here is Tim's place before a lot of people got there and my view when looking towards land. I'll have sea legs after three days on that rocking bastage.
Here are the rest of the pics. Do ya'll get the Don & Mike Show? Mike O'Meara is a friend of mine and brought his "Crap Band".
I'll take some pics and videos for sure!
