Got one of those cravings so whupped up a bunch of dirty rice,
butter beans with crowder peas and jowl bacon,


sausage for the dirty rice



the Vidalias are in!





gots to have some corn bread with that


add corn and collards...it's time to eat!

 
Wow! Looks Xcellent! I grew up eatin Jowl bacon but haven't seen any in about 40 or so years.....Was in Texas last week and actually looked for some in one of the grocery stores we shopped at...No Luck.

We have Cumberland Gap Jowl here too. Good stuff. Makes great BLTs.
