reckon that's a quick and easy way to get there, and
I bet there were no leftovers. Might have to
try that biscuit thing.

Its more fun to let 'em sit at room temp and wait for them to explode   ;)

Actually looks pretty good Larry :D

I grew up eating a very similar dish we called chicken gravy biscuits.
Mom made it a lot on Sunday mornings before church. It was just
chicken legs boiled down until she got a thick broth, and then poured
over homemade biscuits.

I make em all the time now and use the frozen Pillsbury biscuits.
That's probably my best comfort food.

She also made chicken and dumplings, but I stink at everything
involving flour, so I may give larry's method a go.

Great idea with the Pillsbury guy Larry.
Looked real comforting to me.
Love the pop up timer in the 2nd pic! ;)

Looks great Larry..good job. Now we could argue about the choice of dumplings all day ya know? We are a bisquick family:) Fact is I give you only one tip. Split the chicken. Will cook itself mo betta and require less water to cook it..less time to reduce the less water down to useable broth..cools off quicker..blah blah blah. Stick with me Boy..I teach you how to cook chicken and dumplins:)

I have had them that way and like them as well. There is also a pre made version of dumplings in the freezer section at Wally World.

Fine looking grub Larry. ;)

I do something similar. I roll them out, slice them in strips and then toss them in seasoned flour.

That way they thicken up the sauce.

It's my favorite comfort food.
